AFP Peptizyde is a multiple protease formulation designed to assist digestion of casein, gluten, soy, corn, and other food proteins. It is one of the highest DPP IV peptidase-containing products available.

Available: 90 Capsules

CLINICAL APPLICATIONS

  • High-potency enzyme combination for digestion of food protein
  • Increases breakdown of casein and gluten proteins
  • High Dipeptidyl Peptidase IV (DPP IV) enzyme activity
  • Safe, non-toxic alternative or supplement to GFCF Diet

OVERVIEW

AFP digestive enzymes are used to support digestion of food proteins. In today’s hectic, busy world many people under-produce digestive enzymes. When undigested food proteins reach your small intestine, your immune system will treat them as harmful “foreign invaders” – the same as an infectious bug – and attack them by releasing significant amounts of adrenaline and cortisol. This “attack” is an inflammatory response that causes symptoms such as bloating and constipation. Moreover, it creates a hormone imbalance from the release of the additional amounts of cortisol and adrenaline, causing the breaking down of the food instead of using it to rebuild with. When this happens chronically it undermines your metabolism, creating further GI symptoms plus other issues such as weight gain, leaky gut, and mood changes.

INGREDIENT BENEFITS

Dipeptidyl Peptidase IV (DPP IV) enzyme activity helps to digest gluten.

These enzymes should be used with care in cases of active stomach or duodenal ulcers, severe bowel inflammation (characterized by blood in stools), hemophilia, and other bleeding disorders, or within a week of scheduled surgery.

This product may not be appropriate for those with known allergies to Aspergillus enzyme proteins, though non-specific mold allergies do not necessarily preclude use of fungal enzymes. Consult your medical doctor for further advice, and err on the side of caution. Those with known anaphylactic allergic reactions to fungal proteins should NOT ingest fungal-derived enzymes.
